Lovely.
A lovely hotel and facility. Quiet and comfortable. Good service, comfortable and clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay. Great stop.
Good in general
Hotel lovely as usual...staff wonderful, especially Rebecca and Becky during check in...reception and spa staff lovely and helpful...breakfast great however evening fish and chips and roast chicken dinner not good..not worth the £22..fish was inedible and Yorkshire Pudding on my chicken dinner was cold and solid..we ate at the Cat and Lion on the Monday night and fish and chips was under £17 and much better....shouldn't be difficult to put this right. I will still come back though as its a nice place and relaxing spa area..
Spa experience
Spa experience half day. Had a lovely light lunch with a glass of prosecco. Fabulous treatment from Ann Marie. Foot massage, scrub etc. Amazing. Staff friendly and professional. Exceptional service and welcome by Katherine which set the tone for the afternoon. Highly recommend.
Very good business stay
Very comfortable hotel for a stay in this region. We faced very friendly staff and good food during dinner and breakfast to and Czech beer "Staropramen" on the tap :-) very pleasant stay. We will use this hotel during our next business trip to Runcorn/Warrington.
Helpfully staff
Came back to the Park Royal this week for a usual meeting and somehow forgot my laptop charger. One quick mention of it to the ever lovely Donnamarie and off she went going above and beyond to save my meeting by running around the hotel looking for a charger suitable for my laptop. A massive thankyou to you Donnamarie, you saved a big meeting, never stop being you. A huge credit to the hotel.
Long awaited weekend away
Lovely weekend at the Park Royal Hotel Chester, We Stayed 17/19 April 26 First we wish to thank Tegan Olford who I believe is reception manageress at the hotel for making our visit possible after a serious unforeseen problem stopped us going to say in February as planned Thank You 🙏🏻. Checkin was swift and smooth, checked in by Amalia, all reception staff are warm and friendly and willing to assist with any issues, Checkout was as sooth as checkin offered with a warm and friendly goodbye. We have stayed here three time before and find the Park Royal ideal for visiting the area of Cheshire, It may be some miles from Chester and Cheshire Oaks Retail Outlet but the motorway makes it fast drive there easy. Trafford Centre is easily within reach too. Our room 164 was a standard king room now coming dated but still very clean and almost every thing you need, our room was lacking a safe although it says on the website it had one? also there is no fridge for these you need to upgrade to a more expensive room. The room had a view to the rear of the Hotel and looking over the car park and tennis courts both of which gave no noise, The hotel was very busy over our stay although our room was nice and quiet, only issue I found its a long walk to reception and the restaurant especially when walking is an issue. Bar area is clean and friendly with a well stocked bar with wonderful friendly staff serving everything with a cheery smile. Breakfast is plentiful, hot and lots to choose from with clean tables and friendly staff serving everything that as to be ordered and topping the food with fresh as needed. We where made very welcome by Joanna on on the greetings desk as we arrived in the restaurant who is always willing to chat and pass to time of day with guests, Sadly to say Joanna is leaving now, Joanne started here the year we first stayed and as welcomed us on every visit and remembers all her past guests Thank You Joanna and goodbye and good luck in ventures new Dining in the evening was just as lovely, relaxing and service was very good, food was excellent and as a nice choice, staying on a dinner package is worth considering if you are dining here, Checking out as said was smooth and swift, it would have been sad to leave but we were heading down south to The Telford Spa & Golf in Shropshire reviews I have done many time and will do a short one later Thank You All at the Park Royal
Meeting up with family
The rooms and decor are a bit dated but that's a very small trade off for the wonderful staff! I stayed with 2 dogs and all the staff were willing to help when I needed a spare pair of hands and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this hotel, the staff are just amazing 😊
Service was brilliant
We came and had dinner and I would just like to say Sam is a credit to you. The beef roast dinner was a recommend by Lynsey and we tried it. Will be returning
Thank you Victoria!
I would like to thank Victoria for organising our stay. We visited two weeks ago to celebrate my little one’s first birthday. From the moment we arrived, the lovely receptionist made us feel welcome by asking about our journey and our plans for the weekend. During our stay, we enjoyed a lovely meal, and on check-out, Allison was very friendly and wished us a safe journey home. Thank you again for making our stay so special.
Family stay
We stayed during the high temperatures in May. The hotel was well equipped to deal with the heat, with a lovely swimming pool. Rooms were good, service was excellent and the bar staff were attentive. Great location too.
10/10
Went for a spa day for a gift for my mum, so spotless and well organised, they really took it into account I was pregnant and made it a seamless experience, we really enjoyed our treatment I think the lady who did mine is called Amy, so kind and really good at what she does, the food was lovely and nice receptionist too.
Great weekend
Excellent hotel, with lovely friendly staff, spotlessly clean, great food,w would definitely recommend.
Staff
Can’t fault the lovely Victoria and Tom on reception who went above and beyond when there was a leak in the bathroom. They quickly got a new upgraded room arranged straight away. Their customer service and friendliness was fantastic. Lovely hotel and facilities making it a lovely stay. Thank you
Great Staff
I stayed here in May with a friend and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant — I had the hake, which was cooked perfectly, and the Viognier recommended was excellent. Our room was spacious, comfortable if not slightly dated, but it did not diminish our experience. The only small details we noticed was that there weren't any glasses in the bathroom for toothbrushes and the reading lights either side of the bed were too bright, but this didn't detract from our stay. All the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming, and efficient throughout our visit, making us feel well looked after. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to make use of the pool facilities, but they looked great and give us another reason to return. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!
Welcoming Hotel
I always stay at The Park Royal when I visit family in the area. The rooms are comfortable and have plenty of room. The staff are welcoming and friendly, especially Victoria on reception, who is cheerful and helpful. Breakfasts are delicious and there is plenty of choice.
Very nice stay
Really enjoyed my stay, room was modern and clean, facilities were top notch, Hannah on the front desk was exceptionally helpful and accomodating. I did email 3 days in advance to check if somewhere secure could be provided to store my mountain bike, unfortunately didn't receive a response which meant I had to travel without my bike rack (to keep my bike secure inside the car), this is the only thing stopping me giving 5 stars. soon as I arrived Hannah found me somewhere secure and sorted the situation for me.
Lovely 60th Birthday Treat
Arrived today for a spa day with a friend for her 60th birthday. After an eventful morning when our car broke down, which then made us late for our treatments. We were met at the spa by friendly and helpful Katherine and Amy, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were still able to go ahead with our treatments, and I have to say they were amazing. We both had the Elemis facial which was so relaxing and left our skin glowing. My therapist was Katherine who immediately put me at ease. My friend's therapist was Amy. My friend also had a frangipani leg treatment which she loved. Once we'd finished our treatments we had a light lunch of feta cheese wraps which were delicious. All in all we had a very enjoyable afternoon which we would highly recommend.
An excellent hotel for our needs.
As a spa hotel, with an excellent gym and swimming pool, this is excellent value for money. Our standard, double room was above average for a basic room. The bathroom was good. The buffet breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was able to charge my car overnight without the usual hassle. With family close by we shall book again.
Lovely room. Spa meh
Had a 1 night stay for my birthday recently. We upgraded to the tower suite. Room was lovely and clean. Was worried due to reviews of it being ran down but I didn't think this at all. The stairs and upstairs is a novelty and we didnt use it at all but it would be good if you had children to give them there own space. Bed very comfy. Big TV. Robes in bathroom. Hotel it's self was nice but spa let down. Wouldn't book this hotel for a spa break as the pool area is ran down and leisure centre vibes with ants all over and the steam room malfunctioned and went extremely hot. Nevertheless we booked for a good price and wouldn't pay full price. Dinner was nice and all staff we encountered were nice too. Good area. Breakfast also good selection. Overall if we didnt get the discount we did we wouldn't of stayed just purely because I like a nice spa so if I'm paying full id pay for a nice spa but can't grumble if your just wanting a night away from the kids.
One Night Stay, Perfect
We stayed at Park Royal for a night away break. Gorgeous hotel with excellent facilities. The reception staff were very accommodating as we arrived separately, they were understanding and helped me check in without any mither. The bar was very busy but again, staff were great, attentive and allowed us to take our glasses of ice up to the room. We were too late for room service but again it was no problem when we ordered food to be delivered instead. The room was beautiful, very spacious, huge TV, lovely bathroom with an amazing shower, well stocked with extra pillows, towels and bedding which was a bonus. We did have some trouble working the aircon but survived without it working fully in the end. Will definitely be back!
