Not only can you take in the stunning atmosphere of the grounds, there are also several activities to take part in. Try your hand at crazy golf or take this opportunity to take an alpaca for a walk.

Get an inside look at science.

Housing teams looking into nuclear physics, supercomputing and so much more, this is your chance to get an up close and personal look at the work this internationally renowned science centre does.

Go Ape (40 minute drive)

Go wild.

Navigate the treetops in Delamere Forest with Go Ape. Not for the faint-hearted, do you have what it takes to get from one side of the course to the other? Once you get the hang of it, there’s even challenges you can take on. Head out to Go Ape if you want to experience one of the best days out in Warrington.

Walton Hall Ghost Walk (40 minute drive)

Brave the spirits.

There’s nothing better to get into the spirit of Halloween than going on a ghost walk. If you’re looking for something scary to add to your list of things to do in Warrington, check out the Walton Hall Ghost Walk – go hands on and search for ghosts in one of the UK’s most haunted buildings.

Twenty Acre Wood (10 minute drive)

Go leaf peeping.

There’s nothing more beautiful than when the leaves change colour in the autumn. Take a walk through the Twenty Acre Wood to see silver birches and chestnut trees show off their beautiful red and orange hues as autumn starts setting in.

Embrace the Christmas spirit.

No holiday season is complete without a trip to a Christmas market. If you’re looking for some one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones, or even just want to browse, you’ll find something you love at one of the many stalls run by local Warrington artisans.
